This long-awaited comprehensive monograph catalogues the career of multi-disciplinary artist James Nares. Beginning with his recent 3 dimensional paintings created with thermoplastic road paint, to the visually 3d paintings created through using home made brushes and a variety of techniques of application. The book also covers the artist’s early career in the No Wave scene of New York, creating experimental films, conceptual works and staging live performances. This definitive monograph, published simultaneously in three alternately coloured covers (this copy being the red edition), and produced in close collaboration with the artist, surveys the entirety of Nares's career and his exploration of physicality, motion, and the unfolding of time.
