Babette Kulik

Our Team

Babette started her career working for Yves Saint Laurent later moving to Chanel then Gucci.

In 2008 she founded The Society Club, a rare and out of print book shop and literary members club. A London Soho landmark which published poetry and photo books and served as host to the Booker Prize judging committee.

Regarded as one of Europe’s leading style experts Babette has consulted for Selfridges and Hermes and been featured in Vogue, WWD, AnOther and The Financial Times.

Matt Holland

Matt performs market analysis and appraisals and writes about 20th century design and aesthetics, as well as drawing from his background in rare bookselling to build exceptional libraries on visual culture. He holds an MA (Distinction) in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London, with a focus on contemporary Critical Theory and Art Theory, and a BA in English and American Literature from the University of East Anglia, as well as a number of years of valuable experience in the Financial Services and FinTech sectors.

Michael Selzer

Michael is a graduate in Fine Art Painting from St Martins College of Art and has Masters in Curating Contemporary Art from Goldsmiths College.

A specialist in post-war European and American Art and 20th century decorative art and design. Michael has over 25 years of experience in the art world,  starting as a runner sourcing art and design to London galleries, he later founded The Door, London’s smallest 24 hour outdoor gallery.

Now director of Kulik Selzer’s art advisory service, he has curated work by Tim Noble, Jason Shulman, Paul Winstanley and Mel Bochner and contributed to ArtReview Magazine.

Aurora Wang

With extensive experience in the gallery field working with international clients, Aurora researches provenance and pricing for artworks and catalogues. She holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London, specialising in continental philosophy and modern politics, and an MA in Museum Studies from University College London. Coming from Beijing, Aurora is fluent in Chinese and well-versed in Ancient Chinese, French, Italian and Japanese. Her experience with galleries specialising in Murano glass, ceramics and African and Oceanic art, as well as being part of the Courtauld digitisation team for the Kersting photography archives.
