Film director Gus van Sant’s debut collection of portraits taken in New York and Los Angeles between 1988 and 1992. Featuring unadorned, expressive black and white photographs of Van Sant’s friends and colleagues. Van Sant began to capture these photographs during auditions for his films, ‘Drugstore Cowboy’ and ‘My Own Private Idaho’, which have led to serve as a documentation of the cinema of that decade, capturing the hedonism and exuberance of the time.
