Christopher Dresser Vases for Ault Pottery, 1890s

540.00

A beautiful pair of Christopher Dresser urn shaped vases in a rich rose glaze with a cream interior. Ault Pottery, owned by William Ault whom Dresser designed for at the time would have produced these in the mid to late 1890s. Dresser’s clean shapes and bright glazes were a precursor and influence to the modernist designs of the 20th century.
