A Georgian sterling silver three piece tea service by the silversmith William Bennett, London 1803. Each element of this neoclassical service features an engraved pattern surrounding the diameter, base, and the teapot lid. The hinge of the lid is set flush with the engraved detail continuing across the top, an indication of fine craftsmanship. The teapot handle has two small ivory details at the adjoining parts of the handle, topped with a solid silver acanthus leaf thumbpiece. At either side of the teapot and the sugar bowl, and below the spout of the milk jug is an engraved circular emblem with engraved initials in the centre. The initials are engraved only on a single side of the teapot and the sugar bowl.
