A very fine pair of Louis XVI chairs attributed to Jean Baptiste Claude Sene Parisian Master Carpenter circa 1780. Hand-carved in moulded and gilded wood, these chairs have a shield shaped back with a twisted and curved arm and arm rest cuffs that each sit on a neoclassical pillar. The combination dice are adorned with large acanthus carvings, the belt is d-shaped and heavily chamfered with a Greek neoclassical design, this all gracefully rests on fluted pillar legs. Newly upholstered in Paris Nobilis leopard print velvet.
