ITALY: THE NEW DOMESTIC LANDSCAPE, ACHIEVEMENTS AND PROBLEMS OF ITALIAN DESIGN

240.00

First edition, The Museum of Modern Art, 1972.

Produced for a seminal exhibition of Italian design at The Museum of Modern Art, this incredible book documents the new and innovative directions being taken in Italian design at the time. From car design and cutlery to graphic and 2D design, Italy were a dominant influence across Europe and the rest of the world during the 1960s and 1970s, and this exhibition observed some of the successes and failures of this. The book features a clear paper dust jacket, with colorful loose photographs of products contained within the cover that can be arranged and moved. The original five are all present.

Condition: Good. There is some dark discolouration to the spine of the jacket as with all copies of this book, moving on to the front and back cover slightly. The boards of the book and its interior are in fine condition.
