First edition, published by Yale University Press, 2010.

This engaging book offers a peek into the ramshackle studio of one of the 20th centuries greatest sculptors. Situated behind Montparnasse, Alberto Giacometti lived and worked in this space from 1926 for the next forty years until his death. Peppiatt’s writing and research offers a rare insight in to his world, accompanied by atmospheric, almost organic photographs of the artist and his studio.
